how to play
bring your own install. our launcher does the rest. here’s the whole path, plus fixes for the usual snags.
install + sign in
get the original client
use your own copy of the original 2020 PC client: Steam library, an old install, or an original installer you check against our SHA-256 hashes. we never host, mirror or link game files.
install the launcher
the launcher comes with the closed alpha, only from cdclassic.app. it will be code-signed by ZERWONE NETWORK, LLC and checks your files before it touches them.
sign in
sign in on your account with Discord or Google. that claims your spot. your test wave shows there.
get your token
when your wave opens, get your game token on the account page. paste it into the launcher once. it’s personal: don’t share it.
drop in
hit play. nobody plays until their wave opens, so if you’re still waiting, you haven’t missed anything.

troubleshooting
windows SmartScreen warns about the launcher
a newly signed app has no download reputation yet. check that you downloaded it from cdclassic.app and that the publisher reads ZERWONE NETWORK, LLC. then choose “more info” and “run anyway”. if the publisher is anything else, delete it.
my token expired or stopped working
tokens stop working when you get a new one, and after a sign-out on the account page. sign in at cdclassic.app/account, get a new token and paste it into the launcher.
the launcher says my hash is wrong
your files don’t match the known-good originals, so the launcher won’t touch them. reinstall from Steam or from an original installer that matches the hash table on get the game. never use “pre-patched” clients.
can’t connect: firewall or antivirus
allow the launcher and the game through Windows Defender Firewall (and any third-party antivirus) when asked. on a work or school network, outbound game traffic may be blocked.
my wave isn’t open
then nobody on your wave plays yet. stay on the waitlist, stay signed in, and watch the Discord for wave announcements.
